Engineering

University of Cambridge

About the course

The Cambridge Engineering curriculum is structured to provide a broad education in engineering fundamentals during the first two years. This approach enables students to make informed decisions about their area of specialization from the third year onward. The course offers a range of specialisation options including Aerospace and Aerothermal Engineering, Bioengineering, Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Information Sciences, Energy, Sustainability and the Environment, Information and Computer Engineering, Instrumentation and Control, and Mechanical Engineering.

For a select number of students, there's an opportunity to study abroad during the third year through exchange programs with Ecole Centrale Paris and the National University of Singapore. This international exposure can provide valuable global perspectives in engineering.

The course is available in two formats: a three-year program leading to a BA honours degree, and a four-year program that includes a Masters component, resulting in both a BA and a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree. This structure allows students to choose the depth of study that aligns with their academic and career goals.
