Mathematics
University of Oxford
About the course
The Mathematics program at Oxford explores both pure and applied mathematics, covering a range of topics from classical problems to contemporary applications.
The program provides two degree options: a three-year BA and a four-year MMath. Students have the flexibility to decide on continuation to the fourth year during their third year of study. The course begins with core studies in pure and applied mathematics, including statistics, in the first year. As students progress, they are introduced to optional courses in the second year, with the third and fourth years offering a wide variety of subjects, including options from outside the field of mathematics.
